Description

  • Ensure excellent standards of customer service is provided within existing SLA frameworks
  • Be familiar and confident in regulations surrounding the movement of goods, support your team in ensuring compliance when communicating with customers
  • Lead the customer service team, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement customer service policies and standards.
  • Handle complex and escalated customer service issues.
  • Analyse customer service data to improve services, processes, and systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent customer service.
  • Train and mentor team members to optimise performance and service delivery.
  • Monitor and manage team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Advocate for the customer, influencing company decisions and policies.

Profile

A successful Customer Service Manager should have:

  • Proven leadership skills within a customer service setting - this experience will need to come from a similar movement of goods background, ideally within a transport business
  • Excellent understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex customer issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in business or a related field.
